I’m Fiona Kate Morgan, a senior AI product leader based in Bangkok, working with clients in Australia.
My career has been a fairly unusual mix: a maths degree, an MSc in AI, ten years shipping AI products at organisations of very different shapes, and a teaching qualification.
What I’ve actually done.
At NatWest, I led the product work that built the foundations for NatWest’s first AI agents, in partnership with IBM and OpenAI. In parallel, I co-founded Cora’s AI Ethics Board and later became its chair.
At the BBC, I was part of the team that designed the BBC Assistant on Alexa, producing interactive experiences that reached millions of people. Amazon awarded me Alexa Champion for the work.
Between the two, I was COO of labworks.io, the London studio behind Voice Arcade, the world’s first voice-gaming subscription. I managed the product’s rollout to Google, including translation and launch across twelve locales.
So I’ve built AI products and I’ve released them in highly regulated environments. I’m not someone who has just read a bit about AI (although I do also have an MSc in AI), I’ve actually been there and done that, not just created some strategy decks.
Why I work the way I do.
Everyone is talking about AI, but actually a lot of what’s being spoken about isn’t really relevant to the mid-market firms I work with. Ultimately you’re busy trying to be the best lawyer, accountant or broker that you can be and AI can be a distraction to that. But ignoring it isn’t the right answer either – it’s turning up in the onboarding software you use, or in how you recruit new team members, and you need to make sure you’re staying on the right side of the constantly updating regulation.
Perhaps you have a question about whether the $40,000 platform you’ve just been pitched is worth it, whether your HR team should be using ChatGPT to screen CVs, or exactly what it is you need to do for the Australia Privacy Act changes coming in December 2026.
These are all things that it would take you a lot of time to get your head around, and it’s not really your area of expertise. So let me handle it. I get to know your firm, the way you like to run things, and bring you the things that are important. New regulation coming in? Don’t worry, I’ll guide you on that. Software update introduced something that needs to be noted in your privacy policy? Got it. Board has a question about your AI strategy? Easy. The idea is that I work with you, on a fractional basis to support whatever it is you need with AI.
I’ve got experience in AI engineering, product, strategy and regulation. So I can cover all bases. And where I don’t have the needed knowledge or experience I’ll just say and find someone who does.

Outside the day job
I’m the AI expert on Raising Generation AI, a podcast about bringing up children in the age of AI, co-hosted by ITV meteorologist Holly Green. AI impacts everyone and our sole aim is to be a place where parents and caregivers can come to make a bit of sense of it all.
And lastly.
I have been hands on building AI in regulated environments for years. I’ve achieved top marks in university studying AI. I’m not just some person who claims to be an AI expert that read a few articles (or got ChatGPT to summarise them) like a lot of the self-proclaimed experts out there. I am confident enough in my ability to avoid any sort of high-pressure sales techniques.
If that’s what you’re looking for, we should talk.
