This session gets one AI option written up on one page for the partners: what it’s worth, what it really costs, the risks, and how you’ll know if it’s working.
Who it’s for
Firms with an AI decision to make. It might be a tool a vendor has pitched, a feature you could switch on in software you already have, something you’re thinking of building, or simply whether to do anything at all.
It works best with the COO or practice manager, plus whoever is proposing the option.
What happens
Before the session, you fill in a short form about the option and the problem it’s meant to solve. If you’ve had a vendor demo, send over the vendor’s material and anything you found out.
In the session, we start with the problem. What would change if this worked, and what happens if you do nothing? Then we go through the value, the full cost (including the time people spend checking what it produces), the risks, and what it would do with client information.
We also agree how you’ll know if it’s working, and how you’d get out of it if it isn’t.
Afterwards, I write it up and send it over.
What you leave with
- A one-page case for the option, ready for the partners
- A few measures to check it against once it’s up and running
- The template, so you can write the case for the next option yourselves
The details
90 minutes | AUD 3,500

Up to six people.
Why me
Writing the case for new AI features, and working out whether they were worth doing, was a regular part of my job at the BBC and NatWest. So I know which questions to ask to make sure we really understand whether an AI option is the right way to go. More about me
What comes next
If a vendor is involved and you haven’t seen the demo yet, start with Before the vendor demo. If you’d rather I wrote the case for you, then I offer the AI Decision Review. Once the option is up and running, Is it paying off? checks it against the measures you set here.
If you run a professional body or a group of firms, this session also runs as a webinar.
